Miner Yerxa Harkness was born on October 6, 1929 in Sierra Madre, California. His father was Edson Miner, but liked to be known as Miner Harkness, and his mother was Alice Maude Yerxa. He was married twice, the first time to Pat and the second time to Sarah. Miner had five children, a son from his first marriage, two daughters from his second and a set of twin boys Sarah had from a previous marriage. He spent most of his life in Sierra Madre working in insurance. Harkness was in the Sierra Madre...
